The next meeting of the Match Committee will be held on Monday 6 February 2012 and I will provide the usual update after that meeting.
 
In the meantime there are a couple of significant matters I would like to bring to your attention ahead of that time.
 
A 'working bee' will be held on Thursday 2 February to further improve the course. Whilst the previous 'working bee' resulted in considerable improvement to the bare patches on the course we believe some additional work will further benefit the course. To that end it is proposed to 'spike', seed, top-dress and fertilize the areas on the fairways and around the greens that have not responded as well as we would have hoped to the previous sanding and seeding exercise. The working bee will commence at 8.00am and conclude at 12 noon with a light BBQ and drinks. Everyone is welcome and certainly the more hands available the better.
 
The January Monthly Medal (which will be held Saturday 28 Jan) is the qualifying round for the Stroke Handicap Matchplay Championship. The top eight qualifiers across all grades go through to the first round on Saturday 4 February, with the semi finals on Saturday 11 February, and the final on Saturday 18 February. Entry fee is $3 which is payable to the Pro Shop before commencement of your round tomorrow.
 
The 2012 Pennants season commences in February and teams for the various grades have been posted on the whiteboard in the Clubhouse. Team Captains will be contacting all members, who nominated for Pennants, during January. Good luck to all teams and hopefully one or more trophies will be added to the trophy cabinet collection at season's end.

Bookings can be made on-line via the club's OneGolf system. Results from all men’s and women’s competitions organised by the club are also available via the OneGolf system on each members’ personal page, which may be accessed from home or on the terminal in the clubhouse.

To access your personal page, you should log in to the OneGolf system at http://belconnen.nsw.1golf.com.au/welcome/index.mhtml. Bookings can be made on your personal page by clicking on the appropriate date under the heading "My Bookings". Competition results can be found under the heading "My Results".

Members’ Username is their Magpies Belconnen membership number. The password is the member's date of birth in the form ddmm.
